These definitions prepare you for the reading; you do not need to memorize them. The purpose, audience, constraints, values, and effect a creator is trying to shape through a work or process.
A meaningful change in selection, structure, expression, context, interpretation, or function rather than simple acceptance of an output.
Information that identifies relevant sources, contributors, tools, or licensed material according to the context’s ethical, academic, contractual, and legal requirements.
A generated image, paragraph, melody, or layout may arrive quickly, but the creative process can include defining a purpose, studying a context, gathering lawful material, setting constraints, producing alternatives, selecting, editing, sequencing, testing with an audience, and accepting responsibility for the result.
Human contribution is not proved merely by entering a long prompt, nor erased merely because a tool was used. Describe the actual decisions: which direction originated where, what alternatives were considered, what changed, what was rejected, and what the person can explain or reproduce.
AI may support divergence by proposing many directions, or convergence by critiquing and comparing. It may transform a learner’s own material, imitate a requested convention, or produce material influenced by patterns in training. These uses raise different questions about learning, originality, consent, representation, and dependence.
Intent and transformation help analyze contribution, but they do not automatically answer legal questions. Copyright, moral rights, contracts, platform terms, privacy, publicity, and sector rules vary by place and circumstance. For publication or commercial use, identify the applicable policy and obtain qualified advice when stakes require it.
A contribution note can name the system and date, purpose of use, human-supplied inputs, generated elements retained, major edits, external sources or licensed assets, and responsible person. This gives teachers, collaborators, clients, and audiences a better basis for interpreting the artifact.
Attribution is not only a final footnote. During creation, keep source links, licenses, permissions, version history, and uncertain material separate. Do not assume that public access permits reuse or that a generated resemblance has no consequence. If provenance cannot be established, limit or replace the material.

Supports human-centred, ethical, application and creation competencies; it does not settle legal authorship, ownership or training-data disputes, which vary by jurisdiction and continue to evolve.
Explains open educational resources and permissions for reuse and adaptation; online availability alone is not permission, and item-level license terms still require checking.
Offers activity- and discussion-based AI education that can support reflection on stakeholders and creation; it is not legal guidance or evidence that one creative policy fits every community.
